Nanzoin Temple Nirvana Statue

For many years, Nanzoin Temple has been sending medicines and stationery to children in Southeast Asia, including Myanmar and Nepal. In return, the temple received a gift of the three relics of Buddha, Ananda, and Maudgalyayana from the Myanmar Buddhist Council in 1988. The Shaka Nirvana Statue was built as a place to house these relics. It was completed in May 1995. This is not a tourist spot. It is an important place of prayer for believers. Please be quiet and respectful when visiting the temple grounds. Groups of foreigners must be accompanied by a Japanese-speaking person (interpreter).

Dazaihu Temmangu Shrine

Dazaifu Tenmangu is a significant Shinto shrine in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a scholar and politician from the Heian Period, revered as the god of learning and culture. Established in 905 AD, the shrine was built to appease Michizane's spirit after his unjust exile and subsequent deification. The shrine features beautiful Momoyama-style architecture, over 6,000 plum trees, and hosts various cultural festivals. Tochoji Temple

Tōchō-ji is a historic Buddhist temple located in Fukuoka City, Japan. Founded in 806 by the revered monk Kūkai, it is one of the oldest temples in the region. The temple is renowned for its 10.8-meter-tall wooden statue of a seated Buddha, known as the Great Buddha of Fukuoka, which is the largest of its kind in Japan.
